Edison quarterback Matt Viles will miss the Chargers’ regular-season finale against Marina on Friday with a hyperextended elbow he suffered during a 24-0 victory over Fountain Valley, Coach Dave White said.
It’s a good time for one of Edison’s top players to sit out a week. Marina is 1-8 overall and 0-4 in the Sunset League. Viles will be replaced by Steven Andrew, who has completed four of 11 passes this season in mop-up duty.
