Baseball: Six locals to compete in Aflac All-American Classic

Maranatha pitcher Dylan Covey, Fullerton pitcher/outfielder Michael Lorenzen, Aliso Niguel catcher/outfielder Stefan Sabol, Dana Hills pitcher Peter Tago, Harvard-Westlake outfielder Austin Wilson and Barstow pitcher Aaron Sanchez are preparing to compete for the West squad in the Aflac All-American High School Baseball Classic on Aug. 16 at Petco Park in San Diego.

The players are scheduled to arrive in San Diego on Aug. 12 and participate in a children’s hospital visit, scrimmages and home run derby prior to the game, which will be broadcast live at 5 p.m. on FSN.
