Quincy Watts, who won two gold medals at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona and was a standout sprinter at Woodland Hills Taft, is the sprint coach at North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake.
At the Southern Section track and field championships Saturday, Watts was wandering around the practice area trying to direct his athletes and looking in decent shape.
‘I tried to be an alternate, but they wouldn’t let me,’ he said.
