La Habra guard Jordan Sachs has been flying below the recruiting radar, but he made a big impact in the Highlanders’ season opener Monday night.
The senior guard scored a career-high 47 points in La Habra’s 71-65 overtime victory over Foothill in the opening round of the Buena Park tournament, going 16 for 21 from the line and 15 for 23 from the field.
It was quite a performance by Sachs, who is considered one of the top players in Orange County. If he keeps putting up numbers like these, I’m sure he’ll be raking in a couple of Division I scholarship offers by the end of the season.
We’ll see what kind of encore he gives when La Habra takes on Arlington on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
