Boys’ basketball: Cobbs is impressive for Bishop Montgomery

Bishop Montgomery cruised to a 92-64 victory over Hawthorne in an opening-round game of the Westchester tournament.
Guard Justin Cobbs, who has signed with Minnesota, scored 23 points. Bishop Montgomery also has an intriguing 6-foot-7 junior, Richard Solomon, who entered school as a 6-0 freshman and has grown into a center prospect.
Bishop Montgomery is expected to face Dominguez on Thursday at 7:30. Dominguez was playing Carson on Tuesday without Texas-bound Jordan Hamilton, who remains ineligible. He was sitting on the bench in street clothes.
