Boys’ basketball: Everybody’s wearing logos

To help catch the eyes of the various prospects they are evaluating this week in Las Vegas, college coaches are all wearing polo shirts or T-shirts adorned by their school logos.

The fashions help us in identifying the more anonymous coaching faces. Roy Williams doesn’t need a T-shirt. And maybe it’s starting a trend inside the gyms.

A member of NCAA enforcement personnel was spotted in a green shirt yesterday with an NCAA logo.

I should’ve grabbed my old Times T-shirt before leaving, the one I was handed during a stretch working in the old Inland Empire bureau in Riverside. It said, ‘The 909ers’ on the front, and, ‘Long Live the Empire,’ on the back. But no one with the exception of a team like Inland Reebok would get it....
