Softball: Not much of a home-field advantage for Garden Grove Pacifica

I’m here at Garden Grove Pacifica, where the Mariners are hosting No. 3 Lakewood. Or is it the other way around?

This Southern Section-Toyota Division II quarterfinal game is only minutes away from starting and I see no Pacifica fans in the stands. I do, however, see a group of about a dozen or so Lakewood supporters near the first base line.

So much for home-field advantage.

Will having more fan support be the advantage the visiting Lancers need to topple the defending division champions? Stay tuned.
