St. Margaret’s won at least a moral victory in the latter half of the first quarter. After Foothill’s early scoring barrage by Riley Hales (three goals), John Dudridge and Tyler Brown, the Tartans and sophomore goalkeeper Jeff Askin kept Foothill out of the net.
Heading into the second quarter, Foothill still leads, 5-1. Better make that only 5-1, because it looked as if it was going to be worse. Much worse.
