It’s the Klay Thompson show in Division III boys’ final

Klay Thompson, Santa Margarita’s 6-6 senior, is showing in the state Division III boys’ championship game that it is possible to shoot well at the Arco Arena.

He has scored 15 points, making three three-pointers and five of six shots, to give Santa Margarita a 21-14 lead over Sacramento after one quarter.

Santa Margarita led by has many 12 points in the opening quarter, but Chase Tapley, a 6-3 junior, scored his team’s first 10 points to keep Sacramento in the game.
