Hart’s leading scorer, Sarina Coutin, surpassed the 100-goal mark in her career in the Indians’ 3-0 victory over Golden Valley on Friday.
The Cal State Bakersfield-bound senior forward had been stuck on 99 since Jan. 18, and after the Indians’ loss to Valencia last week, it was obvious this whole 100th goal business was getting to her. But everyone knew it was only a matter of time before this talented foot sniper would find the twine again.
Coutin scored twice against the Grizzlies, giving her 23 goals on the season and 101 tallies in 103 contests. Not too bad.
As for the rest of the team, the Indians need to beat West Ranch on Tuesday and Canyon on Thursday to challenge Saugus for the Foothill League title. The Centurions beat Valencia, 1-0, on Friday.
