We can finally discover just how strong the Redlands and Eisenhower boys’ basketball teams are this season. No better way than watching them play at 6:30 Friday night in a key Citrus Belt League game at Eisenhower.
Redlands is 18-0. Ike is 17-2 and currently riding a 14-game winning streak. Each is 6-0 in league play.
Only four opponents have come within 10 points of beating the Terriers. You can bet they’re loaded when a 6-foot-8 center comes off the bench and scores 21 points.
As I blogged last week, Eisenhower is going through a resurgence under Coach Steve Johnson, who returned to the team at the end of last season and has five returning starters with which to work.
If you believe in common opponents, Redlands defeated host Redlands East Valley by 15 points Wednesday night; Eisenhower beat visiting REV by 30 points on Jan. 7.
I sense the first mark in the loss column for Redlands.
