There’s a lot of green in Redlands, no doubt. If it’s not the over-saturated lawns and golf courses (they’ve been wasting water on this one for 110 years!), it’s the median househould income of $52,111, which was about $10,000 more than nearby Colton in 2005.

There’s also Josh Green, a senior guard on the Redlands boys’ basketball team. He’s still more about buckets than ducats, though.

Green scored a game-high 25 points in an 82-59 victory Saturday against Redlands East Valley in the championship game of the San Gorgonio tourmanent. For his efforts, the Terriers’ leading scorer this season was voted the tournament’s most valuable player.

Redlands (14-0) has now won 27 of its last 28 games dating to last season, making its Citrus Belt League opponents feel, well, green with envy.
