Vaughn Dotsy, St. Bonaventure’s top lineman, will not play in today’s Division III state bowl game against Modesto Central Christian because of a pinched sciatic nerve, according to St. Bonny’s defensive backs coach, Andy Gibson.

‘It’s just one of those things that’s been bothering him for a while,’ Gibson said. ‘I know he’s been feeling pain for the last three or four games.’

The 6-foot-4, 350-pound Dotsy is one of the most-heavily recruited offensive linemen in the nation and has played a leading role in spearheading the Seraphs’ running attack this season.
