Jacob Norlock, a talented two-way player for Atascadero, was honored as the Pac-7 League MVP and teammate running back Nick Tenhaeff was named the Offensive Back of the Year.
Norlock had a pretty good season for the Greyhounds. He led the team in receiving with 275 yards and rushed for 244 yards. He also was a staple on defense. But in my opinion, Tenhaeff’s 1,700 rushing yards and 19 TDs was the performance of the season. Oh well, I guess I’ll have to get a head coaching job up in San Luis Obispo County if I want to influence the voting next time around [like that’s gonna happen!].
And speaking of coaches, Atascadero’s Vic Cooper and Paso Robles’ Rich Schimke were named co-Coach of the Year. I have no qualms about this decision since the Greyhounds and Bearcats did share the league title.
