Comets fly past JSerra, 74-66, in Ocean View tournament

Westchester needed all of its speed and guile to come away with a 74-66 victory over JSerra in a championship quarterfinal game of the Ocean View tournament.

Two free throws by 6-8 senior Cordell Hadnot with 36 seconds to play gave the second-ranked Comets (5-1) a 70-65 lead, which was all the breathing room they would require.

Dwayne Polee scored 19 points and Oscar Bellfield and Hadnot each added 14 for Westchester, and Demetrius Walker scored 28 for JSerra (5-2).
