North turns Palm Desert turnovers into points

You know things are going right for Riverside North when it has made two field goals so far against host Palm Desert in the Eastern Division final.
This is a team that would be unbeaten and in the mix of all this state bowl blather if its kicking team could’ve made a point-after attempt against Redlands East Valley in the season opener.
What do ya know? As soon as I start praising the kicker, he misses a point-after attempt, leaving the second-seeded Huskies clinging to a 54-21 lead midway through the third quarter.
How does North go from leading 38-21 at the half to 54-21 midway through the third quarter?
Well, the Aztecs must want to open their own bakery on campus because they made three turnovers in the first six minutes of the second half and the Huskies scored after each.
The key stat: North has scored 31 points off five Palm Desert turnovers.
You can’t make mistakes if you want to beat North. You can’t make five mistakes if you don’t want to get embarrassed in your home stadium.
I get the feeling the highlights of this game won’t find itself into any time capsules out here.
