St. Bonny’s Panapa wishes he was playing in this one

I had a chance to catch up with injured St. Bonaventure senior linebacker Ryan Panapa, who you can tell was wishing he could play a more active role tonight other than cheerleader in the Seraphs’ Northern Division semifinal against Saugus.
Unfortunately, the 6-foot-2, 256-pound piece of recruiting bait has gotten used to watching from the sidelines. He’s played in only one full contest this season -- against Dos Pueblos -- due to a broken foot he suffered in the season opener and a torn MCL he suffered in practice following the game with the Chargers.
‘I haven’t really played all season,’ Panapa said. ‘I definitely wish I was out there.’
Even though his senior season has been obliterated, the recruiting interest has hardly cooled. Both Arizona State and Washington are in the running for his services.
