Cajon golfer Gilbertson signs with Portland State

Corrine Gilbertson, a senior golfer at Cajon, has signed with Portland State.

Gilbertson, believed to be the first girl from the San Bernardino area to receive a golf scholarship (she received a partial) to a Division I school, plays on the Southern California Professional Golf Assn.’s Junior Tour and the Junior Amateur Golf Scholars Tour. She is a two-time San Andreas League champion, finishing fourth at both the Serrano High Invitational and the Martin Luther King Invitational this fall.
