Playoff preview: Southwest Division

Defending champion: El Dorado
Seeded teams: 1. El Dorado (9-1), 2. Charter Oak (8-1-1), 3. Trabuco Hills (9-1), 4. South Hills (8-2)
How it shakes out: It’s hard not to like El Dorado. They Golden Hawks have won back-to-back section titles, have a defense worthy of a Pac-5 Division team and a balanced offense that averages 151 yards rushing, 163 yards passing. Quarterback Kane Wilson (13 TDs, 3 int.) is emerging as one of the promising junior quarterbacks in the area. Really, the only knock against El Dorado is its uninspired schedule; it will be interesting to see how it handles a pressure situation if a team can hang with the Golden Hawks into the fourth quarter.
