Mateo Carranzaghezzi, a 20-year-old white man, was shot several times and killed on Friday, May 22, at the intersection of Garrick Avenue and Dyer Street in Sylmar, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Carranzaghezzi was found fatally wounded in the street; neighbors heard gunfire and called police, coroner’s officials said.
