Hyde Park: Javier Gonzalez-Cordero, 19

Javier Gonzalez-Cordero, a 19-year-old Latino, was shot several times and killed on Saturday, May 16, in the 2900 block of Hyde Park Boulevard in Hyde Park, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Another man, Alejandro Perez-Robles, 25, was also shot to death, according to a statement released by the Los Angeles Police Department.
Perez-Robles and Gonzalez-Cordero were standing on the sidewalk outside a restaurant where they worked as dishwashers, according to El Financiero, a Mexican newspaper. The newspaper said both men were immigrants from Coronango, a city southeast of Mexico City.
They were approached on the street by more than one person, and several rounds were fired at them, according to the LAPD statement.
Police did not release any description of suspects or provide a possible motive.
