Antelope Valley: Man, 31, shot in head and torso

Maurilio Ponce, a 31-year-old Latino man, died after he was shot twice in the head and eight times in the torso at 2 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, according to coroner’s records.

Ponce was found on East Avenue I, a rural road east of Lancaster, according to the Los Angeles Daily News. He had multiple bruises and abrasions on his body, authorities reported.
