Dennis Moses, a 17-year-old black youth from Long Beach, and Breon Taylor, a black 15-year-old girl from Los Angeles, were shot at 5918 Parkcrest St. in Long Beach at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19. Both teens were transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead. A third teenager received non-life-threatening injuries. Long Beach police officials say the shooting occurred after a fight at the Lakewood Masonic Lodge, where 200 people were attending a birthday party. Anyone with information can call Dets.
