Japan is working to stave off a potential nuclear disaster after a third earthquake-damaged reactor sustained an explosion and a fourth caught fire on Monday.

Nuclear and health officials have warned of potential health risks, and Japan’s prime minister has ordered people within a 20-mile area of Japan’s Fukushima No. 1 (Daiichi) nuclear plant to stay indoors.

The Associated Press, over the last few hours, has uploaded new video to its YouTube page of the fire and the third explosion, as well as a fire in the nearby town of Kesennuma, that was damaged by the earthquake and tsunami, both of which can be seen below.

And, while all of this going on, rescue efforts are still underway, analysts are debating the safety of nuclear energy and Japan’s response, and researchers are trying to figure out when the next massive earthquake will hit and where.
