Ever had a really cool app that you wanted to buy for someone you know? Maybe a really cool photo app or a security app, perhaps? Now Apple has made this possible.
By clicking on the ‘Buy App’ drop-down box in the desktop version of the App Store, users can now select ‘Gift This App,’ which allows the user to input the recipient’s name, e-mail address and send a message up to 500 characters. The purchase is charged to the user’s credit card.
The new feature is noted in Apple’s App Store Terms & Conditions, which pops up upon attempting to buy an application.
