USC football: Marc Tyler, Brandon Carswell to play in all-star games

Former USC running back Marc Tyler and receiver Brandon Carswell are set to participate in all-star games on Jan. 21 as they prepare for the NFL draft.
Tyler is to play in the 87th East-West Shrine Game at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Tyler, who was suspended for the opener and nursed injuries throughout the season, rushed for 568 yards and four touchdowns.
Carswell is to play in the inaugural AstroTurf NFLPA Collegiate Bowl at the Home Depot Center in Carson on Jan. 21.
Carswell caught 18 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown last season.
USC’s Pro Day workout for NFL scouts will be held this spring.
