Wednesday is letter of intent day, and USC has strengthened its linebacker position with the addition of Lamar Dawson, an Army All-American game participant from Kentucky Danville.
USCFootball.com reported that Dawson sent in his fax letter. He had made recruiting visits to Michigan, Oregon, Kentucky and Tennessee. He’s 6-foot-2 and weighs 230 pounds.
USC is also expected to sign the No. 1 linebacker in California, Tre Madden from Mission Viejo.
Tony Steward, a linebacker from St. Augustine (Fla.) who was a UCLA target, picked Clemson.
Running back De’Anthony Thomas of Los Angeles Crenshaw, a long-time USC commit who made a visit to Oregon last weekend, has scheduled an early evening annoucement on his final decision.
