Recruiting: USC signs defensive lineman Christian Heyward

USC has announced the signing of six more players, including defensive lineman Christian Heyward of Point Loma High in San Diego.
The 6-foot, 275-pound Heyward had not announced a verbal commitment.
Those who followed through on their verbal commitments include: linebacker Anthony Sarao, from Absecon, N.J.; defensive linemen J.R. Tavai (Manhattan Beach Mira Costa High) and DeVante Wilson (Corona); linebacker Charles Burks (Huntington Beach Edison) and offensive lineman Cyrus Hobbi (Saguaro in Scottsdale, Ariz.).
USC had previously announced the signing of linebacker Lamar Dawson, offensive lineman Aundrey Walker, punter Kris Albarado and offensive lineman Cody Temple.
