Urban Meyer left his old job as Florida’s football coach less than two months ago. He starts his new job Wednesday.

ESPN announced Monday that Meyer will join the network as an analyst, calling one game a week during the regular season and also serving as a studio analyst, starting with coverage of Wednesday’s national signing day.

“Urban brings an incredible amount of insight and access,” ESPN Executive Vice President Norby Williamson said.

Meyer was a guest analyst during ESPN’s coverage of the Bowl Championship Series title game.

“It’s a great opportunity to stay around the game,” said Meyer, who won two national titles with the Gators and has a 104-23 record in 10 seasons at Bowling Green, Utah and Florida.
