Nothing gets die-hard fans geared up for a big game like a peppy song dedicated to their favorite teams -- and people in Green Bay and Pittsburgh definitely have some gearing up to do with their teams heading into the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Fans of the Packers have been jamming to ‘Go Pack Go,’ an updated version of the team’s fight song by the 6 Packers (a band featuring alternative rocker and big-time Packers fan Butch Vig). Of course the traditional fight song, ‘Go! You Packers! Go!’, which features a spoken intro by legendary quarterback Bart Starr, is still a favorite as well.
In Pittsburgh, the unofficial fight song ‘Here We Go!’ is inescapable during the postseason, as is the traditional Steelers polka. And for Steelers fans with a bit more modern tastes in music, Pittsburgh-based rapper Wiz Khalifa’s ‘Black and Yellow’ has become an anthem this season as well (he performed the hit single at Heinz Field before the Steelers’ AFC Championship victory over the New York Jets).
Which team do you think has the best theme songs? Vote, and leave a comment explaining why you voted the way you did.
