Hole No. 15 (Firethorn)
530 yards, par 5
Tiger Woods birdied. Didn’t necessarily come as easily as he’d hoped, especially in a prime position behind the green after ripping a 3-wood second shot over the pond. But a delicate pitch caught the edge of a sprinkler cutout, leaving him 15 feet short of the pin. Nonetheless, Woods drained the putt.
Today: 2-under par.
Tournament: 6-under.
Standing: Tied for third, three shots behind co-leaders Ian Poulter (9-under through 16) and Lee Westwood (9-under through 8).
Today’s stats: 9 of 12 fairways / 9 of 15 greens / 22 total putts.
