Hole No. 1 (Tea Olive)
445 yards, par 4
Tiger Woods parred. His day began auspiciously with a drive into the left trees, but he found an opening to punch a low hook from off the pine straw and run it up just in front of the green. A nifty pitch stopped 4 feet from the flagstick, allowing Woods to save par.
Today: Even-par.
Tournament: 4-under.
Standing: Three shots behind leader Fred Couples (7-under through 4).
