Oh, this has the potential to be irritating -- especially for any UCLA fan in the neighborhood.
The company CollegeHighlites announced in a news release today a licensing agreement to sell ‘Cardinal and Gold lights and wiring’ that ‘embody the spirit of Troy, as well as the spirit of the holidays.’
Dave Bursin, president of CollegeHighlites, explained in the release that he ‘grew tired of purchasing enough strands every year to find the proper colors to match my alma mater. And the wiring, I could never get to match at all. My wife said, ‘Why don’t you just start making them for college fans everywhere?’ And that’s how we started.’
The current company model focuses on USC -- the company says the mini-lights can be found at the USC Bookstore and online at www.collegehighlites.com -- but plans are in the works to expand.
Just please tell us the Christmas music won’t be ‘Conquest.’
