Ducks’ Wisniewski is on a roll, of sorts

So you thought there was something fishy about the way the Ducks have started the season....
There’s something to that. Four members of the Ducks recently participated in a sushi-rolling contest, with the winner getting his creation added to the menu of RA Sushi Bar restaurants in Huntington Beach, Tustin, Chino Hills and Corona from Friday through Nov. 6. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the winning role will be donated to the Anaheim Ducks Foundation, which supports programs that help children and family throughout Southern California.
The winner was James Wisniewski, who edged teammates Scott Niedermayer, Mike Brown and Saku Koivu. His creation, dubbed ‘The Big Wisniewski,’ contains spicy yellowtail, crab mix, jalapeno and cilantro, rolled and topped with sliced yellowtail, avocado and sriracha, served with chili ponzu sauce.
Followed, we hope, by a breath mint.
