Trevor Bauer, a UCLA freshman right-hander who decided to skip his senior year at Newhall Hart to enroll at UCLA, earned Pac-10 pitcher-of-the-week honors after throwing 13 1/3 innings last week and picking up two victories.
Bauer is 3-3 on the season with a 2.06 earned-run average. He earned victories last week against Pepperdine and Arizona.
‘He’s special,’ Coach John Savage said.
