Lakers, Cavaliers play a physical game

It was a physical game at times, but it was a game the referees let both teams play when the Lakers took on the Cleveland Cavaliers Monday night at Staples Center.

Only 31 fouls were called.

And when the teams did step to the free-throw line, neither was very good.

The Lakers made only seven of 15 from the free-throw line. The Cavaliers were 12 for 19.

LeBron James made half of his eight free throws.

Kobe Bryant shot only three free throws, and one was because of a technical foul called on the Cavaliers for an illegal defense.

Lakers center Andrew Bynum was the only player in foul trouble. Bynum had five in 29 minutes.
