This morning, Emmy nominations are announced. How many nods will HBO newbies like ‘Boardwalk Empire’ and ‘Game of Thrones’ rake in? Will AMC’s freshman candidates, ‘The Walking Dead’ and ‘The Killing,’ push to the front of the pack? And how about FX’s lauded dramas ‘Sons of Anarchy’ and ‘Justified’? Will they get respect from the television academy?
And then there are the actors themselves. Will Steve Carell’s final days on ‘The Office’ nab him a nomination? And will Ed O’Neill finally join his male castmates on ‘Modern Family’ in the nominee’s circle? (Let us know who you hope will be nominated — or not — in the comments below.)
Our sister blog Awards Tracker keeps a close eye on all things Emmy-related and will be live-blogging the nominee announcement starting at 5:30 a.m. Pacific time, and posting interviews with the nominees all morning long. Check in with them for all your Emmy information.
