The 63rd annual Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards nominations were announced Thursday, and NBC4 leads the pack with 28.
The station is up for awards in categories that include news writing and the highly competitive newscast categories. Last year, NBC4 led the winners with six golden statuettes.
Trailing a bit, KTLA5 racked up 17 nominations and Fox Sports West/Prime Ticket nabbed 15. CBS2 garnered nine, and ABC7 and KCET tied with eight each.
The winners will be announced Saturday, Aug. 6, in North Hollywood.
And veteran Fox11 news anchor Christine Devine is the recipient of the Los Angeles Area Governors Award on behalf of the weekly news segment, “Wednesday’s Child†on the station.
A full list of the nominations can be found on the Emmys website.
