When we were kids, a bully’s domain rarely extended beyond the playground. But time and technology have conspired to create a troubling new phenomenon: cyberbullying. “Nick News Special Edition†investigates. (Nickelodeon, 9 p.m.)

“American Dad†— the animated series about CIA agent Stan Smith, his wife and kids, their goldfish, Klaus, and a self-medicating space alien named Roger — hits the 100-episode mark with its season premiere. Pass the pecan sandies! (Fox, 9:30 p.m.)

Party over here! The special “106 & Park: 10 Years†celebrates the first decade of the popular daily music countdown — a sort of “TRL†for the hip-hop crowd, where videos get played, stars get made and respect gets paid. (BET, 10 p.m.)

‘Great Performances: Macbeth’

THURSDAY

Bruuuuuce! Oh, sorry, the ‘U’ on the keyboard got stuck. The rock-doc “The Promise: The Making of Darkness on the Edge of Town†tracks Bruce Springsteen, below, and the E Street Band through the creation of that classic 1978 album. (HBO, 9 p.m.)

FRIDAY

What’s all this then? “Law & Order: UK,†the veddy British edition of that police procedural, crosses the Pond for your viewing pleasure. It’s just like its American cousin, only with 100% more tea breaks and powdered wigs. (BBC America, 6 and 7 p.m.; again at 9 and 10 p.m.)
