CNN’s Christiane Amanpour jumps ship to ABC

Christiane Amanpour is leaving CNN to host ABC News ‘This Week,’ beginning in August.

Known for her international reporting for more than two decades, Amanpour replaces George Stephanopoulos who left the show in December to take over as co-host of ABC’s ‘Good Morning America.’

Jake Tapper, who has been filling in, will continue to host the Sunday morning program until Amanpour takes over.
