Personal Playlist: Will Ferrell prefers it old school

Personal Playlist is a semi-regular Pop & Hiss series in which personalities in and out of the pop world share their recent music picks.
As one of the founders of funnyordie.com, Will Ferrell isn’t exactly a Luddite. He even envisions one day premiering feature films on the site via download, he told us. But the star of the new movie “Everything Must Go” may have something of a mental block when it comes to his iPod. Here’s what’s not on his playlist…
Will Ferrell: “Um, you know what’s so sad? I don’t even have a functioning iPod. I’m still playing CDs in my car! I’d have to ask my wife what’s [in it]. It’s some French singer. (Laughs.) And we also have a Swedish children’s CD in there as well. Swedish children’s songs — because my kids speak Swedish. I do know how to work the iPod, but I don’t know if I know how to get songs downloaded on an iPod.” (More laughter.)
