Larsen Jensen places 5th in 1500m freestyle

BEIJING -- Larsen Jensen placed fifth in the men’s 1,500-meter freestyle Sunday. The USC alum had a time of 14:48.16 -- 7.32 seconds off the gold medal pace set by Oussama Mellouli of Tunisia, who touched at 14:40.84.

Grant Hackett of Australia took the silver medal with a time of 14:41.53, and the bronze medal was won by Ryan Cochrane of Canada with a 14:42.69.
