Former Vice President Dick Cheney has been released from the hospital following a heart attack he suffered earlier in the week.
The 69-year-old Cheney was hospitalized Monday after experiencing chest pains. Aides say the heart attack was mild.
Cheney’s office released a statement Wednesday saying the former vice president is feeling well and will resume his normal schedule shortly.
Cheney has a history of heart problems, and has had four previous heart attacks, starting when he was 37. He has had quadruple bypass surgery and two artery-clearing angioplasties.
