‘Nazi Pelosi’: Healthcare, D.C. demeaned

‘Nazi Pelosi!’’ a heckler called out today, as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi unveiled the Democratic leadership’s plan for healthcare legislation in Washington.

On a street corner a few blocks from the White House the other day, a young protester stood with a table and some placards, including an oversized photograph of President Obama wearing a clipped, Hitler-esque moustache.

For all the furor that the debate over proposals for healthcare reform has created, the worst of it may be the contention that, somehow, the leaders of Congress and the president of the United States are walking in lockstep with the fascists who tried to overrun Europe and killed 6 million Jews in the process.
