Nathaniel Popper is the Times’ New York-based business writer. From 2003 to 2009, he worked at the Forward, the national Jewish newspaper. An investigation he did of the nation’s largest kosher slaughterhouse led to major changes in the industry. He has received a Deadline Club Award from the New York Society of Professional Journalists, and was a finalist for the Livingston Awards and the Gerald Loeb business journalism awards.
