Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson’s slight sex-scene ‘adjustment’

In the case of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s ‘Breaking Dawn’ sex scene, it appears one can improve on perfection.

Director Bill Condon is opening up about how steamy he was, or wasn’t, allowed to be when it came to the consummation of the vampire-human marriage of Stewart’s Bella Swan and Pattinson’s Edward Cullen in the first of the two ‘Breaking Dawn’ films.

‘It’s almost clinical the kind of strict guidelines [the MPAA] have about anything that appears to be -- how do I put it delicately? That appears to be, let’s call it ‘thrusting,’’ Condon told MTV.

‘In fact, you know, it was so much more about romance than it was about hot-and-heavy action, so it was a very kind of simple adjustment to make.’

Well, here’s to seeing Pattinson and Stewart adjust all kinds of things together in the new film, which premieres Nov. 14 in Los Angeles. And let’s face it, their characters have nothing but green lights, thanks to their on-screen nuptials.

But wait, is that also a real-life marriage for Rob and Kristen?

‘The wedding scene’s funny because we used a real priest. So technically we are already married, because he did all the things you would do in a normal ceremony,’ Pattinson said at a news conference in Sweden last week.

‘So we don’t have a civil union in law, but I guess in the church we are actually married,’ he surmised.

Let’s take this one honeymoon at a time, kids.
