We at the Ministry were touched by your response to the hospitalization of lifestyle host Nate Berkus, who required emergency surgery last week for appendicitis.
So we did some asking, and your friend Berkus is doing just fine.
‘He’s home recovering nicely,’ a rep for ‘The Nate Berkus Show’ told us Sunday. ‘We will resume production at the end of the week.’
Your home improvement tips and design dish won’t suffer for long, but the situation that sent Nate to the hospital Nov. 30 was a bit stressful. Berkus had taken ill but kept his scheduled appointments, including a ‘Today’ show appearance.
‘I don’t think people realized how ill he was,’ a show rep said at the time. Berkus was taken immediately for a successful procedure to remove the appendix.
The 39-year-old Oprah Winfrey protege has enjoyed solo success on the afternoon show, co-produced by Winfrey’s Harpo imprint and Sony Pictures Television.
