Reality TV alert: Paris Hilton gets some Oxygen

Aw, Paris Hilton. Fresh off her whirlwind tour of the Japanese customs station, our little socialite-who-could has gone and gotten herself a brand new reality show TV show on Oxygen network. You know, in the hopes of showing the world she’s not the ditzy heiress she’s made out to be in the press or was way back when in ‘The Simple Life.’

Quoteth a source in the New York Post: ‘This isn’t ‘The Simple Life,’ where she played a campy version of herself. This show will give viewers a glimpse of the real Paris and her life, which is sometimes quite amazing.’

Right.

Sorry if we sound jaded, but does this kinda sound like it has disaster written all over it? Still, is it disaster in Kardashian train-wreck, oh-no-can’t-avert-my-eyes, best-way-to-cope-with-a-weekend-hangover kinda way?
