Simon Cowell packs on the pounds -- pounds sterling, that is

Simon Cowell‘s fortune has charged past David and Victoria Beckham‘s but hasn’t yet touched his business associate Simon Fuller‘s, according to the Sunday Times’ 2010 Rich List, which will be published this weekend.
The soon-to-be-ex ‘American Idol’ judge comes in 11th on the Times’ list of music millionaires, released ahead of the full ranking, with a pile o’ loot estimated at 165 million pounds (about $254 million at Friday’s exchange rate). Sources of income include ‘Britain’s Got Talent,’ ‘The X Factor’ and the careers of the people discovered on those shows (thank you, Ms. Boyle).
Cowell jumped four spots from his No. 15 rank on the 2009 music list.
Star performers shining above him on the list include -- in no particular order -- Elton John, Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Sting and Keith Richards.
