Ellen DeGeneres enticed her Twitter followers on Thursday night, sending hints that she might be up to something big today with Oprah Winfrey on Michigan Avenue in Chicago.
A very brief promo Thursday night on NBC alluded to Ellen’s O The Oprah Magazine cover being unveiled on the next episode of ‘Ellen’ — ‘next’ meaning today, Friday.
Ellen wasn’t the only one tweeting about a meeting. A nearly simultaneous tweet on Oprah’s verified Twitter account seemed to acknowledge that something is going on.
This came after Oprah announced, according to Deadline Hollyood, that she was in talks to possibly take her ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ off network TV and onto her cable network OWN beginning in 2011.
Wonder what’s up? I’m getting an ‘announcey’ vibe.
But there’s one problem — Michigan Avenue and which cross street?
It ain’t a small street, last time we checked.
Maybe the surprise is something so big that it’s visible no matter where a person stands on Michigan Avenue?
Or perhaps something to do with this? Hey-hey.
